A Candidate or the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Hon. Oladapo Abiola was attacked penultimate days back during his weekly Oladapo solidarity forum in Ondo city.
It was gathered that the loyalist of the candidate had gathered for the empowerment scheme facilitated by the politician but it was in the process some unknown people came to disrupt the program by attacking the frontier and the beneficiaries.
According to the source who pleaded on the condition of anonymity said:
"Oladapo Abiola have been doing well in empowering youths and the aged ones in his constituency despite the fact he was not given the mandate to represent the people of his constituency in Ondo State House of Assembly. But to my greatest surprise, was when I saw hefty people from unknown angle who invaded the program and launched attack on us then people scampered for safety.
Speaking with one of the stakeholders of the solidarity forum, Mr. Tolu Adegbenro, said that the evil act was orchestrated by some leaders of PDP in Ondo West Constituency II.
"He has been impacting his environs positively so the leaders of PDP in Ondo West Constituency II who carried out the odoriferous act should desist from such act and should not use their selfish interest to disorganise the good work Hon. Oladapo Abiola has been embarking uopn"
During an interview with one of the member of the candidates in the constituency who insisted that his name should not be printed says people have been benefitting from the candidates empowerment programmes and this magnanimous act has put smile in people's faces.
"He is a young man who priotize the interest welfarism of his people, we have benefitted from his empowerment programmes. But it is a pity the generous man who love and have his constituent at heart is being attacked by some selfish leaders of the party.
However, all effort to get in touch with Oladapo proved abortive as the time of filling this report as his phone was unavailable.
